The Referral

The referral is a great option for many people, but especially for (a) those who want to avoid any sort of study on vacation and/or (b) those who do not fancy the idea of doing their first dives in the dark, cold waters of a lake or quarry – often the only location possible during winter in Europe.  With the referral, you do the first part of your course with a SSI or PADI or other organizations dive school at home and then come here to do the four Open Water qualifying dives in the warm (approx. 29c) Indian Ocean. At home you will complete the theory and the confined water training sessions; the latter usually in a swimming pool. Once you have finished these two parts, your instructor will sign a referral form stating you have successfully completed these two parts and then you will bring this form over to us. When you come here, you then just have the best part of the course to complete – four amazing dives amongst the spectacular marine life for which the Maldives is famous. On your qualifying dives you will likely get to see turtles, eagle rays, moray eels, stingrays, schools of jacks and trevally, tuna, several species of sharks and many more colorful reef fish too numerous to mention.
