Our aim is to provide the best possible dive experience for you.
Our Try Scuba Diving or Discover Scuba Diving try dive program is usually with max. two participants to one professional instead of 4 to 1 in most dive schools. So if you are a couple, it is virtually a private course just for you and you can take all at your own pace. We find most people like the extra comfort of personal supervision during their first scuba experience and therefore enjoy the dive even more.
Whenever possible we try and keep dive groups for open water certified divers/divers with limited experience to small groups.
We offer divers a valet service where we box, transport your equipment to/from the boat and wash and dry your gear after the dive. Simply dive and relax!
Our boats or “dhonis” in Dhivehi are fast enough to allow us to reach more than 20 spectacular local dive sites in an average boat ride of just 15 minutes and to take us comfortably on exciting half day and full day safaris to North Ari atoll. The dive boat is an important part of your diving experience and your comfort and convenience on all diving trips is assured with our four spacious, 15 meter, purpose–built, modern, fiberglass diving dhonis equipped with freshwater shower, toilet and DAN twin cylinder oxygen and First Aid kits.
We mainly use Scubapro dive equipment which is serviced annually or replaced. Our dive computers are Suunto, our cylinders Luxfer, while our compressors are Bauer Silent and NRC for nitrox.
A full equipment rental set includes, BCD jacket, Regulator set, Dive computer, 2,5mm shorty wetsuit, mask fins and snorkel, plus weightbelt and weight.
Naturally, your safety while enjoying your diving with us is paramount. Our safety system focuses on the prevention of any incident and we promote sensible practices to minimize potential problems. We provide nitrox free of charge and we try and encourage all divers to make the small investment to become nitrox certified. Nevertheless in the rare event an emergency situation should arise, we have the procedures, equipment (including hyperbaric chamber on the island staffed by German doctors) and training to provide an immediate response and facilitate a favorable resolution.
Our knowledgeable dive team is complemented by the resident marine biologist and the Eco Centre (complete with whale skeleton!) where you can find out everything you wish to know about marine life and improve your “fish” knowledge at regular presentations.
We have a buggy service. So if you want to be collected for your dive, you just need to put a “P” on the board when signing up for a dive. We pick up from the various buggy stations 15 minutes before the meeting time for the dive. After the dive please just ask if you would like to be dropped back off at your villa. This service is especially useful for those guests accommodated at the western end of the island (the 300 series of villas) and for those early morning starts!
When you arrive on the island, you can also just call us during our opening hours (11.30-12.30 and 17.00-18.30) and we will come and collect you and your equipment.
